Summertime is Fair Time

I've been really bad about writing here because my mom has kept me really busy.  In the summer, we have a stand at the produce market where we sell mostly little handmade stuff.  But I decided to make potpourri this summer to make some extra spending money - the store supports us okay, but we're not rich from it, and I like to have my own money.

There's tons of lavender farms around here, and lots of people who grow herbs to sell at the farmers market, so, the ingredients are handy.  It took me a long time before I had a fragrance that I really liked.  I started on small batches over the winter, using dried stuff I bought, and worked on it all the first part of the year.

Now, I've got to think of a cool name for it.  I've just been calling it lavendar and herbs.  You know, like descriptive.  But it needs a name.

Kaitlin has been helping me out at the market and the crafts fairs, we do, too, so my mom can stay at the shop if she wants.  That's been fun.  Some of those farm boys are pretty darn cute, and strong.  Mmmm, you should see them carting calves around like they're puppys. 

The first time we went there to set up a booth, Kaitlin scoped out the place and started flirting and doing her poor weak little me thing.  We were surrounded by cute muscular guys so quick, it made me dizzy.  Or maybe that was the gorgeous guy with the black hair in a pony tail and the green eyes.  Heh. 

Anyway, they carried everything for us and got us all set up.  I was supposed to be warding stuff before we sold it so it couldn't be turned against its maker, but I was too busy smiling at the hunklets who kept coming around and asking if they could help.

I'm pretty sure I got them all done, though.  I mean, what are the chances a black witch or a minor demon could come up to the stand without me knowing it?  And Kaitlin said she didn't sell anything while I was at the restroom, so, I think we're okay.  Hope so.
