I Am Such an Idiot

It's been a while.  Things get busy after I do the bunnies - I have to clean and prep the fur, then the lady comes to spin it.  Also, Leo came by, minus Kaitlin, while I was in my Deranga (btw, that's pronounced dee-rain-jah) outfit.  I thought I was going to have to hit him with something, but my mother took care of that for me.  \;+)  She's not having continental seducers going after her baby girl.  Snerk.  In this case, it was okay, because, although he is beautiful, Leo is just a pretty face.  Also, he's got that European, I am the master of the universe with a sexy accent attitude, which could put him at definite risk in a woman magick place like our shop.

I've been hanging out with Auntie Bee too long.  She keeps turning me on to all these bands I've never heard before.  Then, when I'm good and hooked, she says, "Oh,  by the way, they only made that one CD...in 1997."  Manbreak is one of them.  It's very poppy, hiphop kinda stuff, sounds very much like Kasabian.  Or, I guess I should say, Kasabian sounds very much like Manbreak.  Is no one original any more?  The guy on the cover, Swindelli - is that a cool name, or what? - is cute in a scruffy, Liverpudlian, Trent Reznorish kind of way.  Only, I suppose he's a lot younger than Reznor.  Cute.  But they have the CD on Amazon, so I'm going to buy it.

Bee says she saw them years ago when they were here opening for Live on a big tour.  Woohoo!  That Eddie in Live is soooo hot.  Or at least his songs are.  You know what I think it is?  I think that the stuff on the radio is all getting to be too poppy.  That's why I'm liking Auntie Bee's old music so much.  It's good stuff, don't get me wrong.  I wish Manbreak was still around.  Bee says Swindelli is sizzlin'.  Heh.

Stace

I just realized that Stace might read this journal.  I about died.  I mean, I've been spilling my guts about him, and I really, really, really wouldn't want him to know what I'm saying. I never told him  about my blog, so as long as no one else mentions it - and Auntie Bee is the only one who knows, so I'll know who to kill if he hears about it - then it's okay.  Man, what was I thinking?  I feel kinda sick.  Talk about a "duh" moment.  This is like my diary, but  anyone can read it.  And, really, that doesn't bother me, because they won't know who I am, but he would.

Griz, with a case of the whimwhams

Hey, I just heard Kasabian and thought it was Swindelli singing the song. Nice comparison. I wish Swindelli was around too. He had a great message. There is another manbreak album called Asphalt Culture that is just as good as Will Work for Food. Also he used to be in 25th of May.

Check them out.

Ooh, thanks! I didn't know that. I'll have to see if I can find those.

I don't know what's with Kasabian. It's like each song they do is totally derivative, but of a different band. Covering all the fan bases, I guess.

swindelli is still around and writing - with a new band on the way - cant keep an act and performer like that off the stage - also dance tracks been going round the europe clubs - 'you came into my life ' sung by Fiona someone; he's a cool low prfile still doing it all dude. But i miss the big shows, he used to rip the place up. sorry manbreak never made it big for him; could do with a re-release.

Hi, Jackson. I wish I was old enough to have seen them, but I was a little kid then. Auntie Bee said he was a cross between Frank Sinatra and someone hiphop, I can't remember who, in his moves. Sounds wild. I tried Googling him but didn't come up with much. That was a few months ago, though, so maybe I'll try again. Thanks for the tips.
